Free Health Insurance for Teens

Kids 18 or younger who live in West Virginia, who don’t have health insurance now and haven’t had it recently, and who aren’t eligible for certain other programs can get free health insurance coverage from the West Virginia Children’s Health Insurance Program-also known as CHIP.

  • It’s easy to get signed up.
  • It’s free.
  • You can do it yourself.

How to get the ball rolling

You can be on the way to not worrying about paying to see a doctor or get medical treatment.  Just do one of the following:

  • Call one of the Healthy Kids CHIP Outreach Partners at left or call a CHIP Partner in your area and tell them you want to apply for free health insurance. They’ll tell you all you need to know.
  • Or do it yourself: Visit the CHIP Website
